1/3 of Phase 1 done! Day 10 of 120

Okay, I am a third of the way through Les Mills Pump’s phase 1. It may not sound like much but I am happy with it.

Today’s workout consisted of Pump Challenge as well as Hard Core Abs. To replace Hard Core Abs I picked another random workout, it was a Cathe abs DVD. It works, the new copy of Hard Core Abs Should be here on Monday afternoon so by the time that particular workout comes up again.  Then the system will once again be complete and it can be done properly.

Today was quite the day and that is why this post is so late. At least the workout happened and my meals were on target. Emma and I also made a chocolate chess pie for Pat’s birthday tomorrow. It isn’t exactly health food but I was able to clean it up a bit. Got rid of the processed ingredients and knocked it down from 392 calories a serving to 302, 35 carbs to 18, 26 grams of fat to 24, 33 grams of sodium to 14 and 14 grams of sugar to 4. Not too shabby.  I will post a pic and the recipe tomorrow. it’s late and I don’t feel like doing it right now. bedtime is calling my name. Mr Baby will probably get me up at 4/4:30 and I have to get Emma up for school at 6. Bleh, one of these days maybe I will learn to be a morning person and give up my night owl ways.. But probably not!

Day 5 of 120

Wait, shouldn’t of yesterday been day 5. Why yes, yes it was. But this morning had to be my day 5. don’t you just love it when life happens?

The night before i didn’t get any sleep, it started with a migraine, then my DH decided he needed the tv on until after 1 am, then he started snoring, then I went to the guest room. Guess what? The baby monitor won’t work in there. It just beeps and beeps and beeps. Maybe it was the powerstrip i was using, or maybe it is because I just was not meant to get any sleep. I eventually decided to sleep in the rocker in the nursery. Just about to fall asleep and here come Pat sneaking up on me and scaring the crap out of me, telling me to go to bed. Yeah, because the baby will be up any minute and in less than 2 hours I have to get Emma up for school. I am annoyed, my head is pounding so I couldn’t sleep. Finally it is decided that he will stay up and I will sleep. So I spent far to much of my morning sleeping off my migraine and trying to rest up. After all that I ended up helping out a friend, running errands then heading home. A new migraine set in and I just could not bear to work out late in the evening with one. it was late and I needed to worry about dinner. it was already 2 plus hours past dinnertime. Ooops. Needless to say I felt like I didn’t have time. OMG! I said I didn’t have time! It’s 4% of my day, I know this. I didn’t have 4% to give so I didn’t. There was some guilt but sometimes other things are more important than working out. Yep, I said it. Send your fitness is number 1 mob over with pitchforks and torches!

So anyhow to fix the fact that yesterday didn’t work out this morning was Day 5 and late this afternoon will be Day 6. I completed Pump Challenge this am. Feeling pretty good.  The compression sleeves came in, tested them out this morning with my workout. I was still in a lot of pain during the lunge track but it wasn’t crippling pain. So I think they work.

Heading to the Farmer’s Market this morning once I can get everyone out of bed. I need to find jeans for our pictures too. Emma and Ian’s outfits have been purchased, Pat is set and I am good to go minus jeans. Hopefully I won’t fit the new jeans long once I get them. 🙂

Day 3 of 120 – Ouch!

Day 3 – Les Mills Pump.

Today’s scheduled workout was Pump Challenge. It certainly is a challenge, I am still sore after doing it on Day 1 of 120. Sore to the point where getting out of a chair or ascending and descending stairs feel like a form of torture. Right now the pain sucks but given a little time I will go back to finding it more refreshing than tortuous.  It has been a year since I last worked out like this so forgive me for being a big whiny baby for a couple of weeks,

After Pump Challenge I did an Energizing Yoga practise. Having fybro issues lately I don’t think I could attempt to workout without the yoga.

Look for a post soon that has my before pics, weight and measurements. I will be working on that shortly.  Everything is all measured and recorded. Just have to get typing it out.

I’m Back! Here is how week 11 measured up!

Wow, it was strange not writing blogs and reading blogs for a few days. Blogging has become a habit, maybe even a ritual for me. I missed it. I spent the entire weekend painting. When we bought out house every inch of it was brown, every wall, every floor and even the outside is brown (except one bathroom they never bothered painting and the laundry room). The people who built this must have had a brown obsession. The only lived here six months after they built it so they didn’t have a chance to realize that they made a bad choice with all the brown. Upon buying it we knew we didn’t like the brown but would change it over time. We have now rid, 4 bedrooms, the living room, sitting room, kitchen/dining rooms, the upstairs hallway and the foyer of the brown. All that there is left is 2 bathrooms and the carpet. The Carpet guys were supposed to come measure yesterday but did not and will be here tomorrow. Hopefully the new carpet will be in soon! I did not take before pictures just because I was in the let’s do this zone and didn’t think of it but here are the pics I have. The pics are not the best because I am still waiting for Canon to actually do their job.

There you go, that was my weekend in a nutshell. We did also do some shopping around for all mounts for the TV and a new media center. No luck finding what I have in mind. I am very picky I guess. I am hoping to have everything done by the last weekend of the month. I am hosting a jewelry party here and it may be a good thing to not have the house a disastrous mess.

I did well with my food intake over the weekend even with keeping busy. I would have rather had take out all weekend just because it would have been easier. but once I actually made an effort to cook, it was not as bad as I thought it would be. I was so close to falling into  my old mindset of being busy means that you should just eat what is quickest and came in a take out box. Whew, crisis adverted. I did get a bit of exercise in but not as much as I would have liked. but painting was pretty hard on my hands with the dip in the weather this weekend. My body hates temp changes. Especially when it drops down like it did. I froze my rear off at Emma’s game on Saturday morning. It was so freaking cold! I wish Michigan weather could make up its mind! Anyhow, I rambled off there for a minute. back on topic now. Exercise.  I didn’t put in as much effort as usual. But painting had to be done and it was work so it counts as a bit of my missed workout. All, in all I still was active. The main thing that I was lacking in was my Les Mills Pump. I missed one session of Extreme. Just did a quick Challenge session instead. I skipped Flow, but no biggie, it’s just a 20  minute yoga workout. All in all I think I could have done worse so I am okay with it.  Got back to it full force yesterday.

I suppose you all want to know how I fared with week eleven, here are my stats for the week:

  • Chest: 32 inches  (- 1.5 inches)
  • R Arm: 12 inches  (- 0 inches)
  • L  Arm: 11.5 inches (- 0 inches)
  • Waist: 32 inches (- 0 inches)
  • Hips: 41 inches (- 0 inches)
  • R Thigh: 24.5 inches (- 0 inches)
  • L Thigh: 24.5 inches (- 0 inches)
  • Weight: 171 pounds (-0 pounds)
  • Pant Size: 12
  • BMI: 29.5

Minus 1.5 inches this week. Not too shabby. I would still really love to see the scale start moving though.
